Treatments at a glance

The Rheinclinic offers a wide range of medical specialties. All surgical and conservative therapies can be performed on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Find out more about the services of our Rheinclinic on the pages of the specialist departments.

General surgery

General surgery encompasses the broadest spectrum of surgery and covers a significant proportion of the operations performed. The general surgeons cooperating with the Rheinclinic are highly experienced specialists in the field of basic and standard surgical care. Our surgical center for outpatient and inpatient treatments has state-of-the-art operating theaters with first-class equipment that enable the use of the latest procedures. In most cases, surgical treatment can be minimally invasive, which significantly reduces possible postoperative impairments and results in a faster recovery and, in the case of inpatient treatment, a shorter stay.

Anesthesia

The experienced anesthesia team accompanies operations in the areas of general anesthesia (general anesthesia), regional anesthesia (partial anesthesia) and local anesthesia (local anesthesia). The central concern is to determine the appropriate anesthesia method for each patient and thus make their stay in the clinic as pleasant as possible.

Orthopaedic surgery

Whether degenerative joint complaints, injuries or bone fractures: surgical interventions are sometimes essential in orthopaedics in order to alleviate or eliminate complaints in the long term. This is the only way to maintain mobility and quality of life. At the Rheinclinic, several outstanding specialists are at your disposal for this important task. Find out all about the surgical options offered by our orthopaedic specialists here.

Joint surgery

If all possible conservative treatment methods have been exhausted and the corresponding clinical and radiological criteria have been met, surgery is often indicated. At the Rheinclinic, the majority of operations are performed using minimally invasive techniques, i.e. buttonhole surgery or arthroscopy. The most common procedures are performed on the shoulders, knees and ankles.

In the case of severe joint damage, surgical joint replacement, for example an artificial knee or hip joint, may be necessary. The aim here is to restore mobility, prevent physical deterioration and consequential damage and improve your quality of life as a result.

Spinal surgery

Whether at home, at work or in your free time, back pain limits your ability to cope with everyday life. Our patients want to return to an active, fulfilling life – without back pain. When conservative treatment options have been exhausted, modern medicine has good possibilities for corrective intervention. The specialists at the Rheinclinic work with patients to develop these individually and in line with their needs.

Sports traumatology

Sport is an activity that shapes our lives and promotes our health. We want to enable our patients to play their favorite sport without restrictions. We are at your disposal with the entire spectrum of our surgical treatment options.

The Rheinclinic is dedicated to injuries and functional disorders caused by sport. Both minimally invasive surgical and conservative treatment options are used.

Trauma surgery

After an accident, the most important thing for you as a patient is to get back on your feet quickly. It is therefore necessary to be treated by a competent and knowledgeable accident doctor.

Thanks to the experience of our trauma surgeons and state-of-the-art equipment, many bone and joint injuries can be treated at the Rheinclinic. Of course, the possibility of conservative treatment is always considered first.
